Walking in to a room full of people announcing, “I say, kind sirs, may I partake of one of those marijuana/cannabis cigarettes?” is going to result in one of two responses.

Either uproarious laughter until the audience gets distracted by looking for a pizza or wondering why round things are so round. Secondly, someone will yell a slang term for LEO and the area will quickly clear.
