to be sentenced, in total. Estimated damage to capitol is $1.5 million (which I think is low-ball, but whatever).

Each and every of these 510 failed coup attempters would have to be fined @ $3000 to cover the property damage they caused. And, that does not include the deaths and injuries they wrought.

Why, do you suppose, are they being let off without fines sufficient to cover the damage they caused?

Maybe more to the point, why should tax-payer $$$ have to pay for the damage they caused?
