41. that's not what they're doing, not how prosecutions work

...DOJ already has at least two dozen Proud Boy and Oath Keeper arrests on charges of sedition.

Like the congressional committee, they are pursuing evidence linking the WH and Trump to that coordinated attack by the two groups on the Capitol. As you can read in the link I provided, that effort began in 2021 and is proceeding in actual grand juries and court appearances of principals in Trump's orbit.

Many of those already arrested for sedition have agreed to cooperate with the grand juries (where DOJ gets testimony and depositions), and that evidence obtained will be used to further advance the case against the White House.

I get that you can't see past your cynicism of the process. It's not there for you to look at and unravel at this point. Grand juries are, by law, mostly secret, and disclosures are limited to those with direct involvement in the proceedings. That's where we sometimes get hints of activity. Those arrests, subpoenas, and court appearance are all we have to fathom about what the DOJ is actually investigating.

But it's clear that Trump is at the head of the conspiracy, and that's what these subpoenas, arrests, and court appearances from the several dozen people reported as witnesses, principals, or perps tell us about where this prosecution effort is heading.
