A few jabs set up the cross. Keep an opponent busy, give him lots of chances to fuck up. I'm not aware of any law declaring a felon cannot hold national office. It is accumulated public defeat and disgrace that will bar him from office, by removing financial support, and by discouraging many supporters. Those whose disappointment leads to radical action will discredit the creature further.
