Beschloss is referring to to language that drifts toward an acceptance of anti-democratic forces.

This same accommodation language was what lead to Trump becoming the Republican nominee and ultimately president. Accommodationist language is what occurred throughout his presidency. Remember how the media tried to make him presidential in spite of him constantly being an ignorant, moron.

Beschloss is sounding the alarm that as a country we cannot allow this to happen again.
