want to go direct to my assumptions.
I admittedly don't know the truth, he could be telling it so I'll just go with that.
What I do know is there is some dysfunction here if it is all true. There are some very poor decisions being made with the flippant idea that charity will pave the easy road. I'll stop short of my full assessment for the sake of civility, but if he can type in fairly well constructed English as displayed here, he has the ability to get a job. I see no effort to try anything other than to offer excuses for why nothing can be done outside asking for charity.
If it's all true, I do hope that him and his mother re-assess and make the required changed for living within their means, because this most certainly isn't within their means.
