He as much as said that they are coming for birth control. LGBTQ rights won’t be far behind.

Every vote for a Republican is a vote for Congress to ban abortion and birth control in every single state. McConnell has already said he would consider such a bill. The words of Thomas and McConnell are important, as they’re promises of future plans.

They might also consider an old quote from members of the Southern Baptist Convention just before and after Roe became law. For example, “Carl F. H. Henry who became the editor of Christianity Today would affirm that “a woman’s body is not the domain and property of others.”
