Fox and conservative TV/radio have demonized Obama and other democrats, making them into something they're not. There will always be legitimate political differences that people will be passionate about. But conservatives get so upset and unhinged about Obama because they've been so thoroughly misinformed about him, his beliefs, and his intents. This kind of vitriol wouldn't exist to nearly the same extent if there wasn't such a concerted campaign of lying, distortion, and fear mongering.
