Got another batch ready to mail on the 13th.
I swear, the fatigue level is unexpected, but its definitely there. I think my Indivisible group is starting to deal with it.
My canvassing partner is a good friend and she did a shift yesterday, too. I didnt canvas yesterday, but Saturdays are my Call to Action email day - at least to write and do preliminary editing. We ordinarily write five asks a week. And Fridays several of us meet at one of the busy corners and hold campaign posters and wave at the traffic for an hour.
But lately, we cut back to three as our pals in our neighboring Indivisible group did months ago. They suffered from losing some members. And Hey! I can totally understand! Were all getting tired! We lost a couple of regular writers because at least one of em wound up working at the local Democrats headquarters and putting in lots of hours, so she had to pass on our activities. You can only do so much.
And yeah, I feel like Im kinda running on fumes, but now that were in October, Im gonna try to muscle on til the end. My friend reminded me yesterday: will you look back after the election and regret that you didnt go as all-out as you could? And thats gonna keep me fired up. Its gonna have to.
