that they can relate to. Religion is it's own weird language sometimes, and a lot of it is in code, like an encryption key. I learned that it works best to ask questions that relate their FAITH to their RELIGION, and when there is a discrepency beteeen the 2, ask them to explain WHY. If you can get them thinking about Religion in terms of the 3rd deminsion of Faith, it might help. It's how I got a conservative friend of mine to stop caring about what gay people do, and vote strictly as a Right-Libertarian (taxes bad, freedom good, etc.)

It's more of a challenge now to convince him that Romney's an Ass, but he didn't vote for Santorum in the Primary, and that means one less important issue for us to waste time on with them.
