Party. And unless we want permanent minority status, we need to run more like him. Tim Ryan is a great guy and I remind you Trump won Ohio easily. As for some in the Democratic Party, perhaps they are out of step with what it will take to gain and hold a good-sized Democratic majority in this country which I am sad to say is not particularly progressive at the moment. Do you think we could run AOC in Arizona, Ohio or Michigan? I don't say this because I dislike her, she is very talented but will win in a deep blue district, not a purple one.

Ryan is part of the big tent. We need everybody. So I say to those who say he is out of step with Democrats...he works hard and always has to help his constituents. He has brought jobs to Ohio, worked to hold GM accountable when they broke the contract by closing Lordstown GM (some serious cash involved), worked with Biden on the infrastructure and chips bill, and worked tirelessly to help Delphi retirees...so yeah he is a Democrat and belongs in this party. I consider an OP like this two weeks before a must-win midterm completely unnecessary and not helpful. Perhaps those whom you think represent the Democratic Party are out of step. I will remind you that without the rust-belt, there is no path to the presidency or a Sente majority as we speak.
