Twitter's algorithms are not clear, but one thing they measure is engagement. A tweet near the top that riles people will get engagement, and we don't have any way to measure that unless we're Twitter or whoever posted it.

The OP linked directly to the tweet. How is giving it another venue not amplifying it?

If someone's worried about the elections, it could be that there are more useful things to do than chase RW trolls around the interwebs. They're out there. I think everyone knows that. I generally make some effort to avoid them.
