17. Kyrie Irving is an example of the Dunning Kruger effect

Kyrie Irving is obviously attracted to conspiracy theories and other such nonsense: from believing the earth to be flat, to being an anti-vaxxer to his latest liking of a conspiracy-laden film on social media that contained antisemetic among other disturbing material, his behavior shows he is attracted to controversial ideas.

He seems to believe himself to be the smartest person in the room, and therefore can not err or do wring. Hence, he basically never apologizes, which is causing him serious problems. However, just like the bank robber who thought himself invisible after covering himself with invisible ink (lemon juice), Kyrie Irving does not really understand much of what he is talking about, especially the implications of his opinions. Given his power as a celebrity via being a sports star, he is dangerous. One can easily see him becoming the next Herschel Walker in politics.

Irving is a classic example of all that is wrong with social media.
