1. because the "lawmakers" don't know anyone who relies on ss income...

or really even cares about it.

Lets face it, most of these goons don't need the $1200/month to make rent. Even if they are old enough to collect it, they don't really care about it.

Likewise, a lot of their base isn't collecting it. Those that are and need it are probably living on a diet of fox news and don't even know about it, or if they are they have been convinced it will be better for them.

In short, their base doesn't care. Their friends and associates don't care. The people who will care after the cuts are made are being lied to about the impacts.

And importantly, the media doesn't care.
