burning the nation down (as opposed to tRump burning the party down) is clearly already past because they didn't even turn out to vote in needed numbers.

They utterly declined tRump's calls to get out of their armchairs around the time of January 6 also. Even most of the thousands who came to the Capitol to protest turned and left or moved back and watched as the violence began.

Of course, Der Leader wasn't on the midterms ballots and that could conceivably still make a big difference, but nevertheless the evaluation grabbed my attention.
