As obnoxious as mitch has been, he at least understands how to lead and wield power. Whatever nutcase gets to replace him, won't have the practical experience to lead that senate caucus out of a paper bag, and certainly won't be able to hold them all together on hard votes the way McConnell has.

This might seem like a great idea for them today, but 6 months from now they'll be saying 'oh, fuck...wait, what would Mitch do if he were here?'
