4. We sometimes went walking to get some exercise,

and sometimes took in a movie. We had an ice skating rink in town that was popular too. I have nothing against bar drinking but we never did on Thanksgiving. Mostly everyone had imbibed too much food and drink earlier in the day. But dancing would have been a great way to shed the overage as well. But then, I grew up in a religious Dutch town in Michigan, and there was only one bar and it was closed on holidays. And it certainly never saw any rock ‘n’ roll bands, lol.
