That problem is Fox and a metric fuck ton of unchecked and unfiltered right wing propaganda. That is the real disease that is plaguing this country. Trump? He's a useful idiot for the propagandists. When he becomes too much of a liability, they'll cast him aside for a yes man like Desantis. But until we start realizing that the propaganda is the problem, nothing is going to change.
