5. Everyone please understand

Senate repukes were never going to pass a bill that favors the union (or even comes close)... because they want the workers to turn against Biden and Democrats. Biden understands that a rail strike while coming out of a pandemic, end of the child tax credit, China manufacturing supply (that supply chain) issues, would create havoc with our economy.

Repukes don't care.

Either screw the unions or run the risk of the coming recession being not the soft landing that lessens inflation, but a crash... which they will use to put DeSantis (the much more dangerous version of Trump) into the White House. Authoritarian rule comes to the USA... poor Ukraine (and NATO) offered up to the emerging Russia/China hegemony in Asia to Europe.

This is their game plan. And the vote today on the railroad strike that screwed the unions (and may yet lead to a wildcat strike) is certainly going to hurt Dems on taking the House/Senate/re-elect in 2 years.

The Machin vote wasn't good either... but his vote Aye wasn't enough to get to 60.
