The belief in things without evidence was too much. This facilitates your being lead around by fear invoking people. There are people (and part of me thinks that Stone does not actually believe, but I may be wrong) that have convinced themselves to the point where they will see some kind of image that they interpret as a "demonic portal". I could not continue living my life or raising my children to accept those concepts. I when I see phenomena that I cannot describe naturalistically, I try to be comfortable with the idea of, "I don't know..." or "We cannot fully explain that, for now." Which is why, while every human is susceptible to manipulation, I am likely less so than my fellow humans who are still actively practicing a religious faith based in the supernatural.
