19. Isn't it great how rich person crimes require mind-reading skills?

A poor person is caught with property that belongs to someone else, it's theft or burglary and off to the hoosegow. But a rich person crime, like fraud, has to prove that the person who ends up with all that money intended for his actions or his speech or his promises to take money from the victim which would then land in his pocket. "Gee, your honor, I had no idea that I was selling a pig in a poke to all those folks who gave me money. It just happened that way, that I got their money and they got nothing." "Dismissed!"
