Why does MAGA hate Ukraine and love Russia?

47. They have been for Russia taking Ukrane since at least the Feb 2014 invasion.

This was before Trump and MAGA officially existed.

One of the local AM stations here in SE Ohio used to have an odd mix of both Right and Left radio shows. Stephanie Miller in the morning and Alex Jones in the afternoon for real. I would listen as background while I worked in my shop.

Alex jones was always out there, but about this time was when he doubled down on crazy. Selling snake oil supplements and cheating on his wife, and big on what became MAGA and Oaf Keffers, Sandy hook lies, Etc. I stopped listening and even the radio station dropped this programming when it got so divisive.

But one of the tropes they were pushing was that it was entirely fine for Russia to take Crimea by force, as it was more Russian Bla Bla Bla. I will admit that I did not know much about it at the time, did not seem to have much to do with our politics, or my life in general.

But looking back on it Manafort and Stone were all over Russia and Ukraine, hooking up with Infowars and Breitbart and the Russia- NRA - Republican politicians in Moscow mess going on at the time.

So yes Russia was all over MAGA even before it was called MAGA. Looking back over the last 15 or so years it is amazing how much Russia and Putin's policies have been a part of the more screwed up aspects of our politics.
