But the Republican brains of the operation? Hell no. I called this a year ago as Bob Dole election. If Mitt didn't know he was being stooged he has no one to blame but himself.

The party plotters have had their work cut out for them trying to resurrect the ghosts of trickle down, zero taxes/regulation and the other assorted lunacies they peddle. What they wanted to do was clear- luckily people like Todd Akin and even Romney himself did a lot of damage to that effort.

The fact that they succeeded at all though is a travesty.
