Don't have full control over their weight. And people do have some control over their intelligence, it's called education and learning.

It's not as if people like her are incapable of understanding, if they were they wouldn't be able to function in Congress.

They are unwilling to learn, or they abandon curiosity for the safety of dogmas and prejudice.
