Many Asian Americans I know feel that colleges and elite high schools feel free to actively discriminate against them. They may agree that other minorities are underrepresented and should receive help, but they feel that the reforms always come at the expense of Asian Americans, and nobody ever cares.

The changes to the admissions systems at New York City's elite high schools hurt Asian American enrollment a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if that led to a change in voting patterns.
