14. This is what we do

We could run the furnace in the house, but it'd be crazy wasteful. We have small space heaters in the bedroom and our respective home offices. Usually run in the morning when it's cold. Otherwise, fluffy pajama pants with liners, zippy sweaters, and woolly socks.

We have solar, which makes the heater situation an attractive option. But because it rained for a month, didn't really do anything for us.

But this is California. 30s in the morning is the worst we get. 0 in the Midwest is a different kettle of fish.
