in his life, he was bound to be found out at some point. It looks like McCarthy finally figured out how to ease him out while at the same time keep his vote for as long as he can.

As you said, McCarthy's standards are lower than the private sector. I remember once at my old newspaper job, a co-worker was fired and two of the biggest security guards I've ever seen came and escorted him out by the arm...both of his feet were actually off the floor as they showed him the door.
