Showing Original Post only (View all)Hi DU, as some of you know I am in hospital. [View all]
I went back in the hospital after being hospitalized in July with heart complications of Covid. I was in AFIB, Covid pneumonia
the whole Shebang. I turns out I dont just have AFIB. They did get me out of it for on Wednesday after cardiac shock didnt work. Nope the aortic valve is bad and will have to be replaced. I think they are keeping me until the surgery. The valve is crushing and weakening the heart which is why I am out of breath and in cardiac failure. It is why I had AFIB.
The procedure could be open heart or it could be a more modern version
forgot the name. But it will be one of them. The procedure is not without risk although I am optimistic. I have a genetically obtained Tricuspid aortic heart valve. They wear out faster. I am relatively young. This is mostly seen in older folks
Just in case things go south and I dont think they will, I want to tell all of you how much you mean to me. And how much this site means to me. Thank you all for being there with me thru the good and the. And thank you EarlG for this wonderful site. It is a wonderful place populated with fabulous people. There is nothing like it anywhere else. With love and gratitude
Terry
