pretending major elements among the GOP aren't ALWAYS talking about how to eliminate SocSec and the rest for good. The trap Biden set for them with this "sundowning" reminder was to keep them from trying to blackmail the nation into making serious cuts to SocSec.

Those who've been "talking about" getting rid of SocSec since inception rightfully believe they're closer to success than ever, with RW extremism high, a divided-we-fall electorate, *a supermajority of RW extremists on SCOTUS*, and even a RW authoritarian coup possible.

Karl knows that.
