I don't watch anything but the game. Don't care about pre-game, commercials, halftime show. I like watching the world's greatest athletes in high level sports perform on a big stage. The percentage of athletes who can do this in football, basketball, or other sports is very, very small.

I appreciate not just their athletic ability but the fact that these guys playing today have dedicated themselves to year-round workouts and to the mental grind it takes to reach the Super Bowl. I think most on this thread don't understand that. If someone doesn't care about football or this game, that doesn't bother me. Yes it is about greed and materialism, but at its heart it is about what these elite athletes can do on the field on the biggest stage. That's why I loved sports as a kid and still do today, despite all the flaws.
