forgive me if I'm talking about another group along with FL Villagers and local media. But red state media -- except for big city newspapers like the Miami Herald or Tampa Tribune -- are, more than not, paid to do perception management. Some editors want digging, but when drama sells without any full range of facts, local media often settle for that.

Not just Floridians, but Americans all over the country have to always remember WHY Republicans slant and lie and hype: because they KNOW that they cannot win.

Their corporate dark money overlords are scripting new scripts to change that reality, but until they do, the basic political messaging stays the same. Loyal base won't see anything they don't want to see. They want new scripts to be consistent with their old ones. They also still have guns.
