My brother lives three miles due east. The Walmart in Chippewa Township is six miles southeast. The people of East Palestine are permitted to move back to their homes. The air and soil in East Palestine will continue to be monitored. The air in some areas outside of East Palestine will also be monitored for a while. Few people living outside of the immediate East Palestine area are concerned at this point.
