First of all, there's no way he would ever admit he was defective in any way. His narcissism is much too deeply ingrained for that.

Second, the bar for a successful insanity defense is much higher than a lot of people realize:

Imo, he wouldn't be able to pull it off even if he wanted to (which he wouldn't).
