A question to those that are deriding the OP’s suggestion as ridiculous, un-Constitutional, etc., is it not ridiculous, un-Constitutional, grotesque, and obscene that three nine year old children and three adults have joined the ever expanding list of American citizens who have been deprived of their lives all because of an amendment that never foresaw killing machines being used against them?

To be clear, I don’t believe conscripting gun owners into the National Guard is the solution, or even Constitutionally legal, but we’re way beyond the tipping point in gun control and thinking outside of the box like this is our only hope of stopping the carnage.
