55. Not everyone from the south.

I'm familiar with the southern custom of calling people boys and girls rather than men and women, but not everyone is.

I think Southerners like you need to be aware that calling a woman a girl is going to land a lot differently and can be very offensive to people not from the south. You need to realize that some people ARE going to take exception to it and respect that when you are talking to people from anywhere other than the south.
