(9,212 posts)I'm nocturnal and usually go before they close so there are not many people there. Sometimes I have to go on the weekend but also later usually. When I have been there in the morning it is not that bad usually unless it is a holiday.
I did not say it was a Costco issue specifically but it happened there. I was harassed twice by bully men there. And Costco created an unsafe situation for people shopping there even without it turning into a situation for fascist fodder there to harass people in that situation.
The walnut situation and moldy food is a Costo issue however, they are the ones selling moldy food, and they aren't being good about returns. I am very busy now but I will try to call the corporate cs and see what is going on with the moldy food and recalls etc. Clearly it is a Costco problem because it started in November and in April/May they are still selling moldy walnuts and giving people a hard time to return them. The reason this store may be worse is because this area has many fascist types, and some work in and run these places, it is not just the people shopping there.
When I return food items at most other places they never start questioning me, they say sorry etc. and refund me.
Something I have never liked about Costco is the way they harass you at the door to show your member id. That also creates a traffic jam at the door which makes it unsafe and aggravating. Even if you go in there, you cant purchase anything without your card/id. At Bjs they never ask for an id anymore, I think they used to. The way they treated my father was bad and I am sure the customer who did that will do it again. If someone can't handle one of those carts properly they should not be allowed in the store with one. Another thing that leads to that type of situation is checking everyone's receipt before they leave, it creates anxiety and a traffic jam when you are leaving.
That's good they did all of that to help you figure that out.
