Republicans don't know how to be sleazy and ruthless?

They will take care of Trump when they feel like it.

They could have impeached Trump twice.
If both parties said he was guilty most of his base would accept it when the GOP propaganda networks spewed it 24/7. His base is not made of up of very intelligent people.

When the time is right, the GOP will take out Trump, make it look like the Dems got him and get the campaign PACs to pick up the tab for all the chiropractors needed from uncontrollably backslapping each other.

EDIT: they install an authoritarian like DeSantis
When Trump cries to the Supreme Court, the GOP oligarchs will buy the conservatives justices houses for twice what they're worth, give them an Alaska cruise and a tryst with a Stormy Daniels look-alike to give Trump a thumbs down.
