Are you equating strong with "ivy league educated"? I can, perhaps, see the association but I'm not sure how it would relate to electability. Do the parties have a predictable definition associated with their alma maters?

Are you equating strong Democrat with "ivy league educated"? I am perhaps fatally naive, but I find that unpalatable yet maybe an explanation for the dearth of local and state office Democratic candidates' un-electability in some regions.
