My dad was an Army Chaplain and my mom was usually his organist/choir director. They had wonderful taste in music and that is the only thing I miss about that entire gig. My mom absolutely refused to sing any of that dreadful praise music. (I must take after her because I can't stand it.)
I'm a bit less of a believer than I once was. Still, I find sacred classical music to be among the best ever written. It always brings me back.
I also like their national anthem a lot better than I like ours, well, except for the words. It was pretty cool how the orchestra and organ all played it together.
