He thought he could fly overseas, create a little "news", and over-shadow whatever might come out of the E Jean Carrol rape trial. He would blame the judge for not letting him fly back and testify in his own defense. Once again, he was going to be the "victim".
However, the judge gave him to Sunday at 5 pm to decide whether or not he wanted to testify in his own defense.
But, the video of his deposition was released to the public and it was devastating for Trump's reputation and appearance. More or less, he admitted he was a "star" and he could grab women wherever he wanted, and that was "fortunate" for him, however "unfortunate" it might be for women? Trump did not want the narrative to end on this point.
So, he told his guests in Ireland and Scotland that he had to fly back to America to confront these god-awful charges against him.
Trump does not have any options in this matter. He does not want to testify in front of the jury. He does not want the trial to end at this point of definition either? So, he is stuck between the proverbial rock and hard place.
