Seems to me, McCarthy and the GOP got crushed and now are in a box. If they don't vote to pass the debt ceiling now it'll be all on them, especially the extreme MAGATS among them. tRump who can't stop his lips from flapping will make lots of noise about the necessity to put the nation into default and that will stick to him like glue. DeSantis will either say nothing or call for the country's default and either scenario will hurt Ronnie Boy. If they vote to pass it, they've been fleeced and that giant hissing sound you hear will be the air coming out of their balloon.

Either way, Dark Brandon and the Democrats win!
