37. During the Bush years, when he confined protesters

to roped off areas away from him and threatened people who spoke out against his wars, I had a bumper sticker that said, "Without dissent, it's not America."

In a grocery store parking lot, a woman rammed the fender with her cart when she saw the sticker.

A couple weeks later, a guy rammed my car on the driver's side with his truck while I was in it. It was an old car that I had held onto because it was paid for and still ran well - until that day. He totalled it. Hit the car so hard that I got a concussion from my head hitting the roof and I was wearing a seat belt!

But it cost him in the end. Five guys were standing in front of a nearby convenience store chatting and they all came forward to the cops as witnesses on my behalf. An ambulance took me to the ER when I could not tell them my address. His insurance company paid for a loaner car and gave me full book price on my car that I used as a down payment on a newer replacement.
