13. Actually it was the Hunter Biden investigation that fizzled out with nothing nefarious found

IRS and then DOJ investigated Hunter's income during 2017 and 2018 to make sure he filed his taxes correctly and reported all of his income and deductions correctly because some of the consultant and Burisma board income came from foreign sources.

DOJ also investigated where he got the money in 2000 to pay his overdue tax bills. His income was related to payments to his uncle and his ex-wife that were investigated and apparently everything checked out to be above board with no charges except his failure to pay the taxes on time in those 2 years and no fraudulent filings.

Certainly DOJ had access to all of his laptop communications that were available to the public and they were also paying attention to the claims by the Republican House members in their probe that turned out to be baseless false allegations against the Bidens related to Giuliani and Russian propagandists that had already been debunked.
