He was ready and willing to break the rules for the sake of success, and he was pretty cocky about it. He said so with bravado. Unfortunately for his four fellow casualties, it looks like the rules finally broke him.

Just reminded me of Leona Helmsley and her arrogant statement that "only the little people pay taxes." Well, she was certainly taught a lesson!
