81. I agree. I live in a red NE FL county, but have several friends who lean left.

I attend the local Democratic Club meetings. There ARE Democrats here. I'm involved in other volunteer activities. Do I love FL, no not really, I tolerate it. As a New England native I miss many of the wonderful seasonal changes that make up New England. Most of my family is in New England and I do think seriously about moving back there. When I came here 25 years ago FL wasn't what it is today. But, the everyday people you meet are generally good people. Actually, the jerks many times are the mid-westerners and New Yorkers who come down here after Christmas and stay through March.

The other issue IS the weather, the fall and winter are delightful, but once the Summer Solstice begins to impact us the heat of the sun is almost unbearable, at least for me. Went to a 4th get together and we all stayed inside instead of enjoying the outdoors because it was so brutality hot; mid to high 90's. Been that way for a couple of weeks. Some relief today, only high 80's.
