(82,849 posts)Oh, so we're prognosticating on the basis of feelings. Well, I know that the former guy lost the popular vote by 2.8 million ballots in 2016 and by 7.1 million in 2020. But for CNN, it feels like he's more competitive. Like CNN feels that somewhere in those two crunching losses, a significant portion of the electorate is suddenly saying, "You know, I really thought Trump was an unmitigated disaster as a president. All his self-dealing and nepotism and using public funds for private gains and all the excess Covid deaths because he thought he was smarter than career public health officials. But now? Heck, all his legal problems can't possibly be a true reflection of who he is; nobody could be that crooked. Imma vote for Trump in 2024."
