In reply to the discussion: Krauthammer: White House tried to blackmail Petraeus [View all]brush
(61,033 posts)57. What about Cantor
He left out the fact that Cantor got wind of the affair on the 27th of October but did not see to alerting anyone until October 31, 6 days before the election. Or one could say, just enough time to make it seem like a huge scandal was breaking in the Obama administration, which of course would help swing the election to Romney. Just sayin'. Turns out though, all the people involved are Republicans. Even Krauthammer can't spin that. And by the way, where the hell does the commanding general of our forces in Afghanistan get the time to write and respond to what amounted to 20,000 or more pages documenting emails to the Jill Kelley woman? But it's all Obama's fault of course in the minds of these ass hat right wingers.

I think he meant there were only 33 artifacts that DID NOT fall into the hands of people

The loss for words is most likely because the link is to a right wing page.

by all accounts, Petraeus wanted to keep his job and enjoyed his relevance in the military.

What's really interesting is that it doesn't even have to be coherent to spark outrage

Isn't it just as, if not more, likely that it was a gop attempt to blackmail Petraeus?
