It's not a new prosecution at all.

On MSNBC they are (as I type) talking about potential NEW charges for failure to register as a foreign agent (and perhaps other things as apparently the investigation is being widened), and they are also now very likely going to trial on the tax charges as they cannot agree on a plea deal.

All the panel agrees this is a bad day for Hunter Biden, unfortunately.
