They have been investigating Hunter and Joe for 5 years and came up with triviality.

Doesn't appointing a special counsel give credence to the bogus investigation?

Remember what Trump said, I don't need proof just the appearance of criminality and Congressional Republican will do the rest.

The appointment of a sc ensures this Hunter/Joe drama will play out right up to the election.

What were the reasons that Garland made Weiss a sc, when Garland himself said Weiss had all the authority he needed? What changed?

Was there new reputable evidence of Hunter's criminal activity? I confuse easy, but this seems to me to be a bad deal.
