What most people who's hair isn't on fire about this have noted is there's no indication the probe has expanded,the gun charge is moot because of a recent ruling on the law's constitutionality in another case, and the tax charges aren't actually prosecutable.

Most believe if it all comes to trial, there will likely be an acquittal. That's the reason for the earlier plea, that and Hunter's wish to put this all in the past.
